Versions
The Versions panel lists the versions of the job's flow. Each version is a separate copy of the flow canvas, with its own nodes, node settings and parameters.
The Default version is the job's main version: the job opens on it. In the Versions panel it has the Default badge and an amber icon; on the canvas its title shows an amber bookmark. Every other version is a Working Copy, a copy to try changes on; its canvas title shows a pen.
Every version runs the same way: only when you press Run on its canvas. Being the default does not make a version run on its own.
Working with Versions
- Create a new version from the default version. The new version opens on the canvas.
- Make your changes on the new version. The default version stays as it is.
- Run the new version from the canvas to try it.
- When the result is correct, set the new version as default. The job opens on it from then on.
To go back, set the earlier version as default again.
Editing
You can edit any version: its canvas, its node settings and its parameters.
One job lock covers all versions of the job. While another user holds it, every version is read-only and the canvas title shows a lock. On a job that is not locked, your first change takes the lock for you.
Version Cards
Each version is shown as a card:

Clicking a version's name opens it on the canvas, with the Versions panel still open. The card of the version that is open on the canvas has a highlighted border.
Version Actions
The three-dot menu of a card offers:

| Edit Name | Renames the version. |
| Export | Downloads the version so it can be imported elsewhere. |
| Set as Default | Makes the version the default, after you confirm. Not available on the default version. |
| Create New Version | Copies this version into a new one and opens it. This version becomes its parent version. |
Actions that change a version take the job lock when it is free. They are disabled while another user holds the lock.
Runs
A run starts from the Run button on the canvas and runs the version that is on the canvas, default or not. The job logs show which version each run used.
